Makoti Laundry ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Makoti Laundry mobile application and admin portal (together, the "Services"). 2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you:

• Create an account (name, email address, phone number) — including via Google Sign-In, where we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google
• Place a laundry order (pickup address, service preferences, scheduling details)
• Make a payment (processed securely via PayFast — we do not store card details)
• Contact us for support

We also collect information automatically, including:

• Location data — with your permission, to show real-time driver tracking during pickup and delivery
• Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification token for order status alerts
• Usage data — how you interact with the App to improve our service

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and manage your laundry orders
• Send order status notifications (push notifications and email)
• Enable real-time driver tracking during pickup and delivery
• Process payments securely via PayFast
• Send service-related communications (damage reports, receipts)

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Drivers — your pickup address and contact details are shared with the assigned driver to fulfil your order
• PayFast — our payment processor, to handle transactions securely
• Firebase (Google) — our backend infrastructure for authentication, database, storage, and push notifications
• Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google acts as an identity provider for authentication purposes
• Law enforcement — if required by applicable law or legal process

5. Location Data

Our App requests access to your device's location solely to enable real-time driver tracking during active pickups and deliveries. Location data is not collected in the background and is not used for advertising purposes. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

6. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to keep you updated on your order status, including confirmations, driver assignments, and delivery updates. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. Admin Portal

Our admin portal is a restricted, web-based tool used exclusively by authorised Makoti Laundry staff to manage orders, drivers, and business operations. Access is limited to accounts explicitly granted administrator privileges, and is protected by the same authentication infrastructure as the App.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at noreply@makotilaundry.co.za.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Payment information is processed exclusively through PayFast's secure infrastructure and is never stored on our servers.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

You have the right to:
